Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the Terms and Conditions, and by entering this Promotion, all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by them. Please retain a copy for your information.

  1. Agreement
    1. By participating in the Promoter’s McVitie’s 100Y Campaign Promotion 2025 (the “Promotion”), each participant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”), together with any instructions, rules, or supplementary information issued by the Promoter in connection with the Promotion, which shall form an integral part of the Terms.
    2. Participation in the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Terms in full. Participants who do not agree with any of these Terms should not enter the Promotion.
    3. The Promotion is valid only within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“KSA”) and is subject to all applicable laws, regulations, and the commercial contest permit issued by the Ministry of Commerce.
  2. Eligibility
    1. In order to be eligible to participate in the Promotion, entrants must be natural persons aged 18 years or over at the time of entry and be legal residents or citizens of the KSA. Proof of age, identity, and residency may be requested at any stage of the Promotion.
    2. This Promotion is not open to employees, representatives, or agents of the Promoter, its promotional fulfillment agency, partners, subsidiaries, affiliates, reward suppliers, advertising or promotion agencies, or any entity directly involved in the development, production, administration, or implementation of the Promotion. Immediate family members (defined as spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of such employees are also excluded.
    3. No purchase is required to participate in the Promotion in KSA. Entries are made solely by registering on the official microsite and uploading a celebratory photo in accordance with the entry requirements set out in these Terms.
    4. Entries will only be accepted if submitted through the official promotional website and using the designated entry form. Entries submitted by any other method (including post, fax, or social media) will not be considered valid.
    5. Promotion Period: The Promotion commences on (06/11/2025) (00:01 KSA time) and closes on the date falling forty-five (45) days thereafter, ending at 23:59 KSA time on (20/12/2025).
    6. Entrants must follow all entry instructions carefully. Entries which are incomplete, illegible, corrupted, mechanically generated, forged, or otherwise non-compliant with these Terms will be rejected. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant suspected of tampering with the entry process or acting in breach of these Terms.
    7. Entry Cap. Each eligible person may submit no more than two (2) entries per week during the Promotion Period.
    8. Win Cap. Each eligible person may win no more than two (2) prizes in total during the Promotion Period (irrespective of prize type).
  3. Entry Requirements
    1. To enter, participants must:

      1. Visit the promotional website mcvities100years.com.
      2. Complete the registration form with accurate personal details.
      3. Upload a celebratory photo in which the Promoter’s branding (logo, packaging, or display) is clearly visible. Photos must comply with the technical and content requirements described below.
    2. Technical requirements: Photos must in one of the following accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC Max file size: 10MB
    3. Content restrictions: Photos must not include offensive, unsafe, unlawful content; must not show identifiable minors; and must depict a celebratory context without requiring actual purchase or consumption.
    4. Celebratory Photo” Definition. A “celebratory photo” is defined as an original photo created by the entrant during the Promotion Period that: (i) clearly shows McVitie’s branding (logo, packaging, or an official campaign display) in-frame; (ii) contains no third-party logos (other than McVitie’s) and no restricted content; (iii) does not depict identifiable minors; and (iv) complies with these Terms. No artistic merit is judged; compliance is a binary pass/fail check.
  4. Prizes
    1. The following prizes are available to be won:
      1. Digital Rewards (Main). SAR 100 (one hundred Saudi Riyals) equivalent issued as a NEO Currency digital voucher (each a “Digital Reward”). Retailer-specific gift cards are excluded. An indicative catalogue of Digital Reward categories is -Brand Name

      2. Gold Coin Prizes (Optional). One (1) gold coin every 100 hours during the Promotion Period, approx. (8 g), (22K/[916]‰) purity, hallmarked and sourced from a licensed dealer.Award Mechanics.
    2. Award Mechanics:
      • Digital Rewards: awarded via instant-win allocation operated by the Promoter’s contracted vendorUmbrella Risk Management LTD, using randomized winning timestamps during the Promotion Period (the “Instant-Win Mechanic”).
      • Gold Coins: awarded by random draw under supervision consistent with the requirements of the competent KSA authority.
    3. Further Prize Details:
      1. No cash or other alternative prizes are available, either in whole or in part. In the event of circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Promoter (including but not limited to supply shortages, regulatory requirements, or force majeure events), the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion and subject to any required approvals, to substitute the prize with an item of equal or greater monetary value.
      2. Prizes are strictly non-transferable and must be claimed and received by the verified winner only. The Promoter will not honor any request for assignment, transfer, or sale of a prize to another person.
      3. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the quality, suitability, or merchantability of any prize beyond what is required under applicable law. Any guarantees, warranties, or after-sales services relating to the prize are the responsibility of the manufacturer or supplier, not the Promoter.
      4. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any taxes, duties, fees, or other charges that may arise in connection with claiming or using the prize; these remain the sole responsibility of the winner.
    4. Total Winners & Low-Participation Scenario. The Promotion anticipates up to 1,091 winners across all prizes. If the number of eligible participants is fewer than the number of prizes scheduled to be awarded, prizes may be (i) reduced pro-rata, (ii) re-allocated to later time slots within the Promotion Period, or (iii) awarded by a final random draw at the end of the Promotion Period among all eligible entries, at the Promoter’s discretion.
  5. Winner Selection and Notification
    1. Digital Rewards (SAR 100 via NEO voucher): one (1) Digital Reward every hour for the duration of the Promotion, awarded via the Instant-Win Mechanic operated by Umbrella Risk Management LTD(UK). The first eligible entry received at or after a winning timestamp is designated a potential winner, subject to verification.
    2. Gold Coin Prize: one (1) winner every 100 hours during the Promotion Period, selected by random draw from eligible entries received up to the relevant draw time and not previously selected for a Gold Coin Prize. Draws are conducted by the Promoter (or its vendor) in accordance with applicable KSA requirements.
    3. Winners will be notified by email or phone within 7 days of the prize being triggered (Digital Reward) or the relevant draw (Gold Coin).
    4. Entrants have 7 days from first contact to provide the necessary details and complete verification. Failure to respond may result in disqualification and the prize being awarded to a reserve entrant.
    5. Winners must supply correct personal information to claim their prize. The Promoter will not be liable for non-delivery caused by incorrect information.
    6. Winners may be required to provide proof of age, identity, and residency (e.g., national ID/iqama).
  6. Prize Fulfilment
    1. Delivery Timelines. Digital Rewards are delivered electronically within (7) days after verification. Gold Coin Prizes (or approved substitutes) are dispatched within (7) days after verification to a valid KSA address provided by the winner
    2. In the unlikely event that a prize is not received within this 7 day period, the winner must notify the Promoter within (7) additional days by contacting (●). If no such notification is received within this timeframe, the Promoter reserves the right to consider the prize forfeited, and no further claims will be entertained.
    3. Prizes that are returned to the Promoter or its delivery partner as undeliverable (for example, due to incorrect address, unavailability of the winner, or refusal of acceptance) will be treated as unwanted and automatically forfeited. The Promoter is under no obligation to re-send or reallocate such prizes.
    4. The Promoter shall not be liable for any delays or failures in delivery that are caused by factors outside of its reasonable control, including but not limited to postal or courier delays, customs inspections, regulatory approvals, or force majeure events.
    5. Winners are solely responsible for ensuring that the delivery information they provide is accurate and up to date. The Promoter accepts no liability for non-delivery resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the participant.
    6. Any applicable taxes, duties, governmental charges, or fees arising in connection with claiming, receiving, or using a prize shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. The Promoter shall not be liable to gross-up or reimburse winners for such costs.
  7. Publicity
    1. By accepting a prize, winners acknowledge and agree that they may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity activities arranged by the Promoter, such as the publication of their name, photographs, video recordings, or testimonials in relation to the Promotion. Such publicity will be conducted without any further compensation or payment, unless otherwise required by law.
    2. The Promoter may publish the winners’ surname and city of residence on its official website, social media pages, or in other promotional materials for the purpose of announcing prize winners, unless a winner notifies the Promoter in writing at the time of claiming the prize that they object to such disclosure.
    3. Any publicity use of submitted photos or other user-generated content provided as part of the Promotion will be subject to the entrant’s separate and express consent. No entrant will be required to grant such consent as a condition of entry or prize receipt.
    4. Winners understand that participation in publicity may involve their personal data being processed and disclosed to the public, and consent to such processing for the limited purposes described above. All such processing will be carried out in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law and its Implementing Regulations, and the Promoter’s Privacy Notice.
  8. General Conditions
    1. The Promoter is not responsible for entries which are misdirected, lost, delayed, damaged, corrupted, or affected by technical failures beyond its control.
    2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter and its affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Promotion or the use of prizes, except for liability which cannot be excluded by law.
    3. The Promoter’s decision is final with regard to all matters relating to the Promotion.
    4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify entries, including requesting proof of age, identity, and address. Failure to provide such proof may result in disqualification.
    5. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, amend, or suspend the Promotion if it cannot proceed as planned due to technical failures, fraud, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
    6. Any act or attempt to manipulate or undermine the integrity of the Promotion will result in disqualification.
  9. Data Protection
    1. The Promoter will collect and process participants’ personal data (including, but not limited to, name, contact details, entry details, uploaded photos, and prize fulfilment information) strictly for the purposes of administering the Promotion, conducting draws, verifying winners, delivering prizes, and maintaining required audit records.
    2. With participants’ separate and express consent, the Promoter may also process personal data for:
      1. sending marketing communications about Pladis products, services, or promotions; and/or
      2. using submitted Photos for publicity or promotional purposes in accordance with Section G (Publicity). Such consents are optional, not a condition of entry, and may be withdrawn at any time.
    3. Personal data will be processed in accordance with the PDPL and its Implementing Regulations. The Promoter will retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above, including any legally required retention periods. By way of example:
      1. Entry and registration data will generally be retained until six (6) months after the close of the Promotion.
      2. Winner verification records may be retained for up to five (5) years if required by applicable law or regulatory practice.
      3. Publicity Photos (where consented) may be retained and used for a period of twelve (12) months following the end of the Promotion.
    4. The Promoter may share personal data with third-party service providers engaged to assist with the Promotion (e.g., IT hosting providers, prize suppliers, logistics partners), strictly on a need-to-know basis and under written confidentiality and data processing obligations. Data will also be shared with competent authorities such as the Ministry of Commerce if required by law.
    5. Any transfer of personal data outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will only take place where permitted under the PDPL and with appropriate safeguards in place.
    6. Participants have the right to exercise their PDPL rights at any time, including the rights of access, correction, deletion, objection to processing, and withdrawal of consent. Requests may be submitted by contacting: (●)@pladis.com.
    7. The Promoter will respond to such requests in accordance with the timeframes and procedures set out in the PDPL.
  10. Governing Law
    1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the KSA.
    2. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts and authorities of KSA.
